Delhi suffered its fourth consecutive cold wave day on Sunday, with the minimum at the city’s base station Safdarjung falling below 2 degrees Celsius for the first time in two years and the city experiencing one of its worst fog spells of the season with nine hours of lower than 200m visibility. Over 100 flights were delayed at IGI Airport due to dense fog and 42 trains were running late.

Mishra was booked under IPC Sections 354, 294, 509 and 510, and Section 23 of the Aircraft Rules, 1937. Mishra moved a bail plea in court, which scheduled it for hearing on January 11.

Guj Harappan site reveals death rituals of 5k yrs ago
The digging began in 2019 at Juna Khatiya village, about 30km from Lakhpat in Kutch district, and archaeologists found rows of graves with skeletal remains, ceramic pots, plates and vases, beaded jewellery, and animal bones that piqued their interest. Over time, it emerged as one the biggest Harappan burial sites, with the possibility of 500 graves, of which about 125 have been found so far.

Man who urinated on co-flyer held from B'luru guest house
Mishra was apprehended from a guest house in Bengaluru at 12.30am using internet tracking technology and information from sources about a red Jeep Compass SUV. He was brought to Delhi where a court sent him to judicial custody in Tihar jail for 14 days. The flight’s pilots have also been questioned and their statements recorded.

Centre: Will honour SC timeline for judge appts
Entrusted by the apex court to persuade the Centre to “follow the law” by complying with its verdicts on appointment of judges, attorney general R Venkataramani, at the outset , told a bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Abhay S Oka that all efforts were being made to conform to the timelines and names sent to the government by collegiums would be cleared expeditiously with decision on 44 out of 104 names decided in the coming two days.
