Covid-19 cases inching up for past three weeks in India
India saw a week-on-week spike of 63% in the seven days ending Sunday, after a 39% rise in the previous week and a 13% rise the week before. In fact, cases have been inching up for five straight weeks. South India and Maharashtra account for most of the new cases.

Eighth straight hike: China defence budget up 7.2%
