Cops then posted in Lucknow say, Atiq himself was present at the site when his men tried to take possession of the land.

Killing of Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf: Retired HC judge to head three-member probe panel

The commission will be headed by Allahabad high court judge (retd) Arvind Kumar Tripathi, and will have two other members – retired judge Brijesh Kumar Soni and former DGP Subesh Kumar Singh.
