Vote for double-engine govt, not reverse-gear one: Shah
Union home minister Amit Shah attacked Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, describing their poll campaign in Karnataka as “electoral tourism”. “The siblings have been planning to make Karnataka their ATM again,” Shah claimed while addressing party workers at Katapadi, in Udupi district. He urged voters to choose between the double-engine government of Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi’s “reverse-gear government”.

Govt to sell buffer wheat stock every quarter to control price
The government has decided to sell wheat from its stock in the open market every quarter, starting July, in its bid to check any rise in prices of the foodgrain, atta and other wheat products. Till now the Food Corporation of India offered some of its wheat stock only during the last quarter of the financial year — January and March — when availability of the winter crops dips. Sources said sale of first tranche of wheat under the ‘open market sale scheme’ will be conducted before July.
