The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) slammed Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s call to eradicate ‘Sanatan Dharma’ and warned of serious consequences, saying some politicians were daydreaming about the Sanatan which the Mughals, missionaries and the British could not destroy. “I am surprised by both the language and the spirit of the statement of the Tamil Nadu chief minister’s son and state minister Udhayanidhi Stalin," VHP president Alok Kumar said.​

J&K reinstates lecturer suspended over SC appearance in Article 370 case

Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, a government higher secondary school lecturer who had been punished for appearing before the Supreme Court to advocate against the repeal of Article 370, was suspended just days after the Constitution bench hearing the petitions questioned whether the penalty against him was "retribution." Bhat, who teaches political science at a state-run higher secondary school in Srinagar's Jawahar Nagar and also holds a law degree, was referred to as a "delinquent officer" when he was suspended on August 25.
