A magnitude 6.5 earthquake shook an island region of Ecuador and northern Peru on Saturday, causing inhabitants to rush out of buildings. At least four people have died, with others trapped under rubble. Rescue crews have been searching for survivors after some buildings collapsed and cars were crushed, according to reports.
