India will soon have 157 new nursing colleges with approximately 100 seats each. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the Cabinet committee on economic affairs, chaired by PM Narendra Modi. The new nursing colleges will be established in co-location with the existing medical colleges established since 2014. UP will have the maximum 27 such medical colleges, followed by Rajasthan (23) and Madhya Pradesh (14).
