Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi moved a Delhi court on Tuesday seeking a no-objection certificate for issuance of a fresh ordinary passport as he had surrendered his diplomatic passport on being disqualified as member of Parliament after being convicted in a defamation case. Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Vaibhav Mehta sought the response of Subramanian Swamy, the complainant in the National Herald case, to Rahul’s application, and posted the matter for hearing on Wednesday.
