The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) announced that the cryogenic upper stage of the LVM3 M4 launch vehicle, which successfully launched the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, re-entered the Earth's atmosphere in an uncontrolled manner. The rocket body re-entered the atmosphere over the North Pacific Ocean and did not pass over India. The re-entry occurred within 124 days of its launch, complying with the 25-year rule for low-Earth orbit objects. The rocket body had undergone passivation to minimize the risk of accidental explosions and adhere to space debris mitigation guidelines.
