Following Israel's ban on Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, Israel ambassador Naor Gilon expressed hope India will proscribe Hamas, saying the Netanyahus government has already shared information with Indian authorities about its terrorist activities. "We did whatever was expected from our side. Now it is for the Indian government to decide - if, where, how, how fast," said Gilon, when asked if India had indicated to Israel it was considering a ban on Hamas.
