India has been invited to the oath-taking ceremony of Maldives president-elect Mohamed Muizzu on November 17. However, India has not yet decided who will represent the country at the ceremony. Muizzu, who is considered pro-China, has denied having a China bias in his foreign policy. India hopes to secure an early release for Muizzu's predecessor, Abdulla Yameen, who was jailed on corruption charges.
