The University Grants Commission (UGC) in India has approved a new curriculum and credit framework for postgraduate programs, in line with the restructuring of undergraduate programs under the National Education Policy 2020. The new framework offers flexibility for students to switch disciplines, choose courses of interest, and pursue alternative modes of learning. It also specifies the minimum credit requirements for different formats of postgraduate degrees. Additionally, the framework allows students to pursue multiple academic programs simultaneously, either in physical or online modes.
