Leicester's Diwali celebrations, famously the largest outside India, might be canceled due to financial constraints faced by the city council. The city council, which funds these festivities, can no longer afford the significant expenditure involved. The two-day event features an impressive switch-on of 6,000 LED lights shaped like diyas along the Golden Mile, alongside stage performances, fair rides, and fireworks two weeks before Diwali.
