Evidence of Rs 600 crore payoffs found after Lalu kin searches, claims ED

A day after searches were conducted at 24 locations in Delhi-NCR, Patna, Mumbai and Ranchi on premises linked to former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son, Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, and his daughters in connection with the land-for-railway job probe, the Enforcement Directorate claimed on Saturday it has seized documents revealing "proceeds of crime" worth Rs 600 crore.

India records first 2 H3N2 flu deaths in Haryana, Karnataka

The Union health ministry on Friday advised states to be on alert after two H3N2 deaths were reported from Haryana and Karnataka. There are four types of influenza viruses: A, B, C, and D. Influenza A and B viruses cause seasonal epidemics of disease in people almost every year in January to March and the post-monsoon season in India.

Speeding SUV runs amok, leaves 2 dead in Delhi

Two persons, including a teenaged boy, were killed when an SUV crashed into them in southwest Delhi's Malai Mandir area on Wednesday night. The driver of the vehicle first hit a Ciaz car parked on the road before hitting a pole and then losing control. The Thar hit another hatchback and finally rammed into three fruit carts and people on the roadside. Around 25 people had to physically lift the car to remove the injured persons from beneath it.
