Rs 700cr investment fraud by Chinese handlers busted in Hyderabad
An over Rs 700-crore investment-cum-part-time job fraud run by Chinese handlers with alleged links to the Lebanon-based Hezbollah terror group was unearthed by the cybercrime wing of Hyderabad police on Saturday. The terror funding tip-off came from a crypto agency, which flagged suspicious bitcoin credits in wallets of the terror group, said police.

Delhi issues Yamuna rise warning as Hathnikund volume up
A fresh spell of rain in the hill states led to the release of huge volumes of water from the Hathnikund barrage into the Yamuna on Saturday, forcing the Delhi government to issue a warning to people who had moved back to their houses in the low-lying areas. The release rate had increased to 2.51 lakh cusecs on Saturday morning, an engineer said.

2 women candidates stripped during WB panchayat polls: BJP
BJP on Friday came down heavily on West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee over the alleged stripping of two of its women candidates in the recent panchayat polls. Addressing a press conference, BJP MP Locket Chatterjee claimed that on the day of panchayat polls, July 8, a woman gram sabha candidate was beaten, stripped naked and paraded in Howrah’s Panchla, adding that the state police refused to file an FIR until it was forced to do so by BJP’s protests.
