Cricketer Monty Panesar hopes to oust Virendra Sharma in UK election with George Galloway's party

Former England international cricketer Monty Panesar has announced that he is running for the Workers Party of Britain led by George Galloway in the upcoming UK general election. His aim is to defeat the long-standing Labour MP Virendra Sharma, who has represented the Ealing Southall constituency since 2007. Galloway, who is well-liked by Muslims for his supportive stance on Palestine and opposition to Israel, introduced 500 candidates.
